Ecowings, professional handmade upclycled bags
Ecowings makes cool, handmade quality bags from car tyres. They aim to reduce waste in India by giving waste a new life, inspiring locals to adopt a green lifestyle. By upcycling discarded rubber inner tyres from trucks, which normally end up on the rubbish heap in India, rubber is given a second life.
The company originated 2011 in India, led by Kapil Sharma, Indian designer with a passion for nature and innovation.
The products are entirely handmade by a team of passionate artisans and designers in a special workshop in Indore, North India. Ecowings' basic collection consists of various laptop bags, backpacks and accessories. The bags have a cushion lining to protect a laptop, they are water-repellent and very strong. The colourful zips add a nice touch to the bag. A new backpack was recently introduced: the Rozer Pack. With it, Ecowings again shows that sustainability and design go perfectly well together. A sustainable alternative for every student or professional with a laptop.
