This Aleppo soap is made from olive oil and 35% laurel berry oil. The soap is made in the traditional way in Syria, by saponification in a large kettle. It is then cut by hand, which is why pieces of Aleppo soap are somewhat irregular. It contains no additives and is known for its skin-friendly and moisturizing properties. It is a mild cleanser, has an antibacterial effect and is suitable for all skin types - even sensitive skin.

The strength and effectiveness of the soap is determined by the amount of laurel berry oil. Laurel berry oil has a spicy scent, so the higher the percentage, the stronger the soap will smell. Laurel berry oil has traditionally been used for dry and blemished skin.
